PEN-Y-GHENT GREETING CARD - A6
All cards feature scene information on the back.
Pen-y-ghent is the lowest of Yorkshire's Three Peaks at 2,277 feet (694 m). The name Pen-y-ghent could mean 'Hill on the border’. One of the most famous features of Pen-y-Ghent are the bare "rakes" on its western face which were shaped by a huge thunder storm in 1881.
This scene depicts the start of the climb from the west side of the hill, showing off the distinctive “rakes”.
